Nice essay Peter. Remember What’s my line? Arlene Francis, Bennett Cerf, Dorothy Kilgallen. To answer when some of these obstinate Republicans will gain some sanity..,,one answer is when the Republicans raise their taxes.

Nice summary, Peter. For me the line has been WAY crossed, as I think it has for about 1/2 the country. Ok, but now what? That's the problem. So far no leadership nor rallying point has arisen to meaningfully catalyze our discontent. One can hope it still may.

I thought this piece was a smart view on how a winning opposition strategy might materialize as well.

I can think of a small handful of issues that could demonstrate independence from Democratic Party dogma, galvanize a reasonable size group from the right, and serve the greater good on reforming our government and making America better. (Addressing the deceit about the origin of the Covid virus, not reducing service quality to our veterans, and proactively standing in support of Canada’s sovereignty).
